Harborview Finishworks provides custom finish carpentry — trim, crown molding, built-ins, wainscoting, and coffered ceilings — throughout the New Hampshire & Southern Maine Seacoast’s (New Hampshire - Strafford & Rockingham Counties and beyond) (Main - York, Cumberland, and Southern Oxford Counties and beyond).
As finish carpenters, we simply focus on the finished product from start to finish. We anticipate as many details as possible to make sure that you love your finished product. Not all carpentry is the same caliber or quality. Knowledge of the history of carpentry is where we start so we can incorporate as many skill sets as required to meet design or dream ideas. We focus on probability not possibility. Where many will say things like “no, that’s not feasible” we ask “how can we achieve this?” We love the challenge and creating wonder in our clients lives and spaces.
Yes — matching historic millwork is one of our specialties. We can outsource original trim profiles, casings, and built-ins. New work should blend seamlessly where it meets old. Much of our finish work is in pre-1940s homes across the Seacoast, where preserving character matters as much as craftsmanship.
