Yes. In many homes we refinish or reface existing stairs — new treads, updated railings, or a fresh species — without a full structural rebuild. If the existing framing is sound, a facelift can transform the look. We'll assess the structure and tell you honestly whether a refit or a full rebuild makes more sense.
We build staircases in oak, maple, cherry, walnut, or any other hardwood you prefer, with railing options ranging from traditional turned balusters to modern metal, cable, and glass systems. We also match existing millwork in older homes, so a new stair reads as original. We'll walk you through species, stain, and railing options during design.
Most basic staircases take 2–6 weeks cumulatively, from design approval to installation: design and measurement (1–2 weeks), fabrication of treads, risers, and railings in our shop (2–4 weeks for basic designs, 6-10 weeks for large scale ornamental designs), and on-site installation can vary greatly between basic and ornamental designs. Curved or floating staircases and hardwoods with long lead times will extend the timeline.
